Peñíscola is located just over an hour north of Valencia and 2 hours south of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast - Costa del Azahar.

The old town of Peñíscola is crowned by the impressive 14th century castle of Pope Pedro Luna (Benedict XIII) and is perched 64 metres above the sea. This provides the centre point of the ancient medieval city making it an impressive site for miles around.

As well as offering historical sights Peñíscola also provides a long and beautiful ‘blue-flag’ sandy beach (5km long). There are also a number of individual coved beaches (10 minute walk) all of which are coupled with an enjoyable Mediterranean climate consisting of approximately 300 days of delightful sunshine a year. This makes it a great location for a holiday destination.
